Guardian began as a private tool. Our founder, going through a difficult custody dispute, spent countless hours and significant personal resources navigating the legal system — fighting not just for time with their child, but against misinformation, miscommunication, and the chaos that comes with co-parenting without structure.
Out of that struggle came a simple but powerful idea: what if every exchange, every request, every communication was documented? What if both parents had access to the same clear record? The first version of Guardian was built for exactly that — and it worked. The documented history it created became instrumental in court.
That experience made one thing clear: this wasn't a niche problem.
